SEO for landscapers, priced from $65 a month.

Most landscaping SEO chases volume. Volume in this trade means mowing searches. We build keyword strategy around your work mix, which means design-build, hardscape and enhancement terms get targeted alongside the maintenance terms that keep crews busy.

The problem

Volume is the wrong target and this trade proves it.

A weekly maintenance account is worth roughly $45 a visit. An outdoor living project is worth $40,000 to $100,000. Same company, same trucks, often the same crew.

The gap between the cheapest and most valuable work in landscaping is wider than in almost any other trade. And almost every landscaping SEO effort chases lawn care near me while ceding the terms that bring in six-figure hardscape and design-build work.

Maintenance keywords have high volume and low value. Design-build keywords have low volume and enormous value. An agency reporting on sessions will always steer you toward the first group, because that is where the graph goes up.

Maintenance accounts are not worthless. They are the entry point. A mowing customer becomes an enhancement customer becomes a design-build customer. The honest position is that both matter, and that most companies are only marketing for one of them.

Pricing

Five programs. Month to month.

Available as a monthly subscription or a one-time order. Setup fee waived on both. Platinum is the right starting point for a company targeting maintenance, design-build, hardscape and several service areas, because 20 keywords will not cover it.

Method

Five steps, run every month.

The same sequence whether you run two crews or fifty. Nothing here is proprietary. It is just done consistently, and reported with live URLs.

  1. 01 Market review Your service area, your competitors, the work mix you actually want more of, and what you currently rank for.
  2. 02 Keyword analysis Terms split by value, not volume. Maintenance, enhancement, hardscape and design-build tracked as separate groups.
  3. 03 On-page checks Technical audit, page structure, internal links, service page coverage, schema.
  4. 04 Authority build Guest posts on DA 20+ sites, Web 2.0 properties on DA 50+, and amplification. Every link delivered as a live clickable URL.
  5. 05 Report and refine A monthly report showing what was built, where it lives, and what moved. Then the next month is adjusted against it.
06
Difference

Every link comes with a live URL, and you own it permanently.

This is the part most agencies will not put in writing. You get the address of every asset built for you. If you leave, the links stay. Month to month, cancel anytime, no rankings guaranteed by anyone honest.

No contracts

Month to month. Cancel any time without a penalty clause.

No ranking guarantees

We do not sell positions. Nobody can.

Assets you own

Every link, every page, permanently yours.

08
The dataset

Where the volume sits, and where the money sits.

Keyword groupSearch volumeWhat one customer is worth
Maintenance and lawn careHighAbout $45 a visit, or roughly $2,400 a year if the visit converts into a seasonal contract.
Lawn treatment programsModerateAbout $600 a year, recurring, and it renews without a new sale.
Enhancement and plantingModerateAbout $6,500, and frequently sold to a customer already on your maintenance book.
Hardscape and patioLowAbout $22,000, researched for months before anyone picks up a phone.
Design-buildVery low$40,000 to $100,000. The least volume on this list and the most value by a wide margin.
Commercial and HOALowMulti-year contracts on a bid cycle, read by a property manager rather than a homeowner.
09
The approach

A keyword list that looks unimpressive on purpose.

If you have been pitched by a landscaping marketing vendor before, you have seen a proposal built around total search volume. Ours will look thinner, and that is the point.

A report showing 40,000 monthly searches is easy to produce and easy to sell. Almost all of that volume is mowing and lawn care near me, which is the cheapest work you do and the work you are least short of. Winning it fills the schedule with $45 stops.

We group terms by what the customer is worth before we look at what the term is worth. Maintenance, treatment, enhancement, hardscape, design-build and commercial are tracked as separate groups with separate pages, so you can see which group is moving rather than watching one blended line.

That means a Platinum program will often target 40 keywords where a competitor proposes 200. Fewer terms, aimed at work that is worth twenty to a thousand times more per customer. The report is less impressive and the invoices are larger.

10
Sequence

What the first ninety days look like.

Nothing here is proprietary and nothing here is hidden. This is the order the work happens in, and roughly when you should expect to see it.

  1. 01 Weeks one and two Technical audit, work-mix conversation and keyword grouping. We ask what you want more of before we look at what is available, because those are different questions.
  2. 02 Weeks two to four On-page work. Service page coverage, internal linking, page structure and schema. If a service you sell has no page, that gets built before anything is pointed at it.
  3. 03 Month two onward Authority build begins. Guest posts on DA 20 and above, Web 2.0 properties on DA 50 and above, and amplification, all delivered with live URLs in the monthly report.
  4. 04 Months three to six Movement becomes measurable. Lower competition terms move first, and the design-build and hardscape groups are usually the last to shift because they are the ones worth having.
11
A modeled scenario

A three-crew company adding design-build work.

A maintenance-led company running 20 new customers a month, 40 percent of them from search, wants two more design-build projects a year rather than more mowing. Priced at their own numbers, a 20 percent visibility lift models to a mid five-figure annual figure, and almost all of it comes from the two lowest-volume keyword groups. The maintenance terms they already ranked for contributed the smallest share of the change.

These are illustrative scenarios, not client results.

Questions

How long before landscaping SEO shows results?

Authority takes three to six months to build. Rankings established in February capture the spring window. Work commissioned in April does not. If you are reading this in autumn or winter, that is the correct time to start.

Which package suits a landscaping company?

Platinum at $325 a month, in most cases. It covers 40 keywords across two domains, which is enough to run maintenance, enhancement, hardscape and design-build as separate keyword groups. Companies with several service areas or a fifth service line should look at Titanium.

Do you work with companies that also do pest control?

Yes. Lawn treatment and mosquito control sit naturally alongside maintenance work, and many of our clients run both. Pest control has its own page and its own keyword strategy rather than being treated as landscaping with a different noun.

Do you guarantee first page rankings?

No. No agency can, and any that does is selling you something else. What is guaranteed is the deliverable: the number of guest posts, Web 2.0s and amplification links in your tier, each delivered with a live URL you can check.

Can I pause during the off season?

You can cancel any month. We will tell you plainly that pausing in autumn is the wrong move, because the work you commission then is what ranks in spring.

Will we lose maintenance work if you target design-build?

No. Maintenance terms stay in the program and keep working. The difference is that they stop being the only thing in it. Maintenance accounts are the entry point to everything else you sell, so removing them would be a mistake, and we do not.

What if we only do maintenance and have no interest in design-build?

Then the program targets route clusters and seasonal contract terms instead, and Golden at $235 is usually enough. The argument on this page is about not ignoring high-value work, not about forcing you into it. Plenty of profitable companies never touch design-build.
