Landscaping website design, from $400.
You sell visual outcomes. If your project photography is buried in a gallery tab behind a stock header image, the site is working against you. An SEO-ready site puts the work first, loads fast on a phone at a job site, and gives every service its own page to rank with.

The site is where the work is judged.
Landscape design-build is a genuine design discipline and your buyer judges craft accordingly. A homeowner deciding on a $65,000 outdoor living project will look at your site the way they would look at an architect.
That means large photography, real project detail, and a structure that lets someone find the specific thing they are considering. It also means service pages that exist at all. A single services page listing nine offerings cannot rank for nine things.
Speed matters more than people expect in this trade. A large share of searches happen on a phone, often outdoors, often on a weak connection. A heavy site with unoptimized project photos loses those visitors before the first image appears.
Built to be ranked, not just launched.
- 01 One page per service Maintenance, enhancement, hardscape, irrigation, lighting, design-build. Each with its own keyword target.
- 02 Project pages Real work, shown at size, with the detail that supports a high-ticket decision.
- 03 Technical foundation Clean structure, schema, fast mobile performance, explicit image dimensions.
- 04 Lead capture that works Phone prominent, short form, no manipulative popups.
- 05 Ownership The site is yours. No proprietary platform lock-in.
The site comes first, then the authority build.
Building links to a site with no service pages wastes the links. If your current site has one page covering everything you do, start here and add the SEO program in the same month. The setup fee is waived either way.
You sell a visual outcome, so the site is the sample.
A homeowner deciding on a $40,000 patio has one way to judge whether you can build it, and that is the photography on your website. This is not true of most trades and it is emphatically true of this one.
Most landscaping websites treat project photography as decoration. A gallery page, a lightbox, twelve thumbnails at 400 pixels wide. The work that took a crew three weeks is rendered smaller than the stock icon next to it, and the buyer draws a conclusion from that whether or not they can articulate it.
We treat photography as the primary element of the page, because the buyer does. Full-bleed project imagery, sized properly, loaded fast, with the project described underneath in the language a customer would use rather than the language a contractor would.
The second thing that matters is having a page per service. If you sell irrigation, lighting, hardscape, maintenance and design-build off a single services page, you have one page competing for five completely different searches. It will lose all five.
What a site for this trade needs.
This is the structure we build to. It is not elaborate and most landscaping sites are missing at least half of it.
- 01 A page per service Maintenance, treatment, enhancement, hardscape, irrigation, lighting, design-build, and commercial if you do it. Each one a real page, not an accordion on a list.
- 02 Project pages, not a gallery A page per significant project, with the brief, the constraints and the result. These rank for the exact phrases design-build buyers search.
- 03 Fast on a phone in a driveway Your buyer is frequently standing outside looking at their own yard. Image weight is the thing that breaks this and it is the thing most landscaping sites get wrong.
- 04 A quote path that matches the job A mowing quote and a design-build consultation are not the same request and should not be the same form.
- 05 Commercial separated If you bid HOA and commercial work, that reader needs their own path. They are looking for insurance, capacity and references, not a photo of a patio.
- 06 Yours permanently You own the site, the content and the images. There is no license, no rental arrangement and nothing that stops working if you leave.
This is the cleanest term in the whole dataset.
Landscaping website design runs around 800 searches a month at a difficulty of one. In a category where the marketing agency terms sit above 50, that is close to an open door.
Difficulty of one means the pages currently ranking are weak, thin, or both. It does not mean the work is worthless, it means nobody serious has bothered to compete for it. Terms like that tend not to stay uncontested for long.
It also means a landscaping company can rank for it themselves, which is worth saying plainly even though we sell the service. If you build a genuinely good site and describe it properly, you can win that search without us.
How to tell whether your site is the problem.
| Symptom | What it usually means | Rebuild or fix |
|---|---|---|
| One page listing every service | You are competing for eight searches with one page and losing all of them | Fix, if the site can be edited |
| Project work only in a gallery | Your most persuasive asset is invisible to search | Fix, by building project pages |
| Slow on a phone | Almost always image weight. Your buyer is frequently outdoors on mobile data | Fix first, rebuild if it cannot be fixed |
| You cannot edit it yourself | Every change costs money and takes a week, so nothing gets changed | Rebuild |
| Built by a directory or lead seller | You may not own it, and it may stop existing when you stop paying | Rebuild, and check the terms |
Questions
What does landscaping website design cost?
From $400 as a one-time charge. The final figure depends on how many service pages and project pages you need. There is no monthly platform fee and no contract.
Do I need a new site to run SEO?
Not always. If your current site is fast, has a page per service, and you can edit it, we work with it. If it is a single-page template with a gallery, the program will underperform until that is fixed.
Who owns the website?
You do, permanently. Same rule as the links.
What does the $400 actually include?
A built site with a page per service, project pages, the technical structure search engines need, and mobile performance that holds up on a phone. It is a one-time charge quoted separately from any monthly program, and you own the result outright.
Do we need a new site before starting SEO?
Usually not. If the existing site is structurally sound and reasonably fast, the money is better spent on authority. A rebuild is worth it when the site has no service pages, cannot be edited, or is slow enough that phone traffic bounces before it renders.
Can you use our own project photography?
Yes, and you should want to. Your own finished work is more persuasive than anything else that could go on the page. We will tell you honestly if the photographs are not good enough to carry it, because badly shot work reads worse than no photograph at all.
How long does a build take?
Usually a few weeks, and the pace is set by how quickly project photography and service descriptions come back from you rather than by the build itself. Companies that have their photographs organized before starting move considerably faster.
What happens to our existing rankings if we rebuild?
Handled properly, they carry over. Every existing URL is either kept or redirected to its replacement, and the content that was ranking is preserved rather than rewritten for the sake of it. Rankings usually wobble for two to four weeks after a launch and then settle.
Do we need separate sites for landscaping and pest control?
Usually one site with two clear paths works better than two sites, because authority built on one domain benefits everything on it. Two domains means building authority twice. The exception is when the two businesses are genuinely separate companies with separate names and separate crews.
What about a site for commercial work only?
Same answer. A distinct commercial section on the main site, with its own entry point and its own pages, gets the benefit of the domain authority you already have. A separate commercial domain starts from nothing and competes with your own site for the same terms.
Can we keep our current domain and email?
Yes, and you should. Domain age and existing authority are worth preserving, so a rebuild keeps the domain and replaces what sits on it. Email is unaffected because it runs on separate records. The only case for changing domain is a company rebranding entirely, and even then it needs redirects handled carefully to carry the rankings across.
What do you need from us to start?
Project photography, a list of the services you actually sell, and the areas you genuinely cover. That is most of it. The build waits on those three things far more often than on anything technical, so companies that gather them before starting tend to launch weeks earlier than those that do not.
Tell us what work you want more of.
No contracts. Setup fee waived. A dedicated account manager on every plan, and every link delivered with a live, clickable URL that you own permanently.
